I finally took the measly half hour it took to get the roof rack cross bars and the curb catcher removed from our 26 Platinum. Only have 2000 miles on it but the curb catcher already had some pretty good scrapes on it. I threw it up above a cabinet in the garage, why, I don't know. Anxious to get out on the highway and see if removing the cross bars helps cut down the wind noise. Also got the oil changed around 1500 miles. We've only had her for about 6 months now, and still getting used to all the electronics. I'm definitely no tech guru at 72. So far, so good. Really enjoying driving this vehicle.

Removal of the cross bars from the roof rack made my 2025 MUCH quieter. I also removed the front air dam which looks much better!! First oil changed at 1,000 and every 5,000 thereafter.

Do you have before and after pictures? I'm surprised the roof rack was making that much noise!

Roof rack made a ton of noise, took mine off as well so much happier

I've never used a roof rack in my life so I don't think I'd be tied to mine either. But then again I don't do any skiing or stuff like that.

I wonder if that would be true for my 2010 Sequoia 5.7 ? Air noise is air turbulence which is air resistance. I don't care about noise but you have made me wonder if MPG would improve without my rack?

For example: My Tacoma has an aluminum work cap over the bed - about 3" taller than the cab. The work cap has a full aluminum ladder rack on it - extending forward over the cab. Adding the cap and rack cost 7 mpg. Carrying a extension ladder on the rack costs another 1.5 mph
