Post your thoughts, rumors, and expectations about features, pricing, and release timelines for the 2026 Toyota Sequoia here.

Are you waiting for the 2026 announcement before making a move on a 2025? Let us know!

Fingers crossed Toyota gives us a TRD trim with a second-row bench and skips the third row entirely. That setup would be perfect!

You think that's going to happen? I just yanked mine and installed a base deck. A bench would be nice ... IF it tumbled forward like the captains do.

2026 TRD Pro color.

Hmm.. might be something you have to see to appreciate, but from the photos that color is not for me!

It will be disappointing if there are no other changes for 2026.

I really loved that army green ... so wished I could have gotten my 2024 Sequoia with that color. Toyota just doesn't offer enough colors for a car with an $80k - $85k price point. My gray color is ok but it is EXACTLY the same color as my 2016 CX-5 ... boring.

I agree. Based on pictures, that blue is disappointing.

I'm really hoping that the storage area gets some improvement. Then maybe I could live with it.

I figure to fix it completely would require getting rid of the hybrid or completely redesigning everything behind the driver, both of which are more than a "refresh". I'm prepared to be disappointed, but I am holding out hope. I still haven't replaced my GX460 because the 3 full size SUVs I am considering all have something that is a dealbreaker:

GMC/Chevrolet Yukon/Suburban - engine issues
Ford Expedition - square steering wheel and everything controlled through the touchscreen
Toyota Sequoia (smallest of the 3) - storage issues

For the Sequoia: My decision hinged on whether or not I needed the third row seat; whether I could easily remove it; and whether there was something I could do to open up that area for storage. When I saw that I could check all those boxes, the Sequoia was the only vehicle that fit my criteria ... except maybe the price, vehicle availability, and the lack of colors (among a few other insignificant things). The third row seat's in my shed and I installed a (expensive!) base deck over the battery.

P.S. yeah that blue is fuuuugly.

Looks like the 2026 models will be out soon! This was posted on facebook, along with a mid September delivering date.

Well, another MY with that ridiculous storage.

I would really like to know Toyota’s thought process with the Sequoia. I know several people, me included, that would quickly buy the Sequoia if the storage was at least in the same universe as a Tahoe/Suburban. I get that it would still be smaller without the hybrid batteries but it would be better than it is currently. Are they really satisfied selling 25,000 per year? (Rounded Figure from carries.com). I don’t understand.

I agree, it’s frustrating as that has been the only thing keeping me from buying one. Toyota should either provide an option without the third row or design it so the seats can be removed quickly and easily.

Hey, What base deck did you go with? Just picked up my 2026TRD pro in the backseat has got to go!! Thanks, Peter

2024 Toyota Sequoia Front Runner Interior Cargo Deck. It seems like there are more places to buy it ... and the price has gone up significantly. BTW, it's not the easiest thing to clean (at least trying to remove dog hair).
