Deposit on the new Sequoia?

Has anyone contacted a Toyota Dealer about putting down a deposit?

Yes, it varies greatly. No local dealers are taking orders (Chicago area). They will take deposits on allocated vehicles and some will take them on invalidated. I put $500 down on allocated unit. Another dealer is taking $2500 on vehicles that have not yet been allocated. Some dealers have said that all units are spoken for over the next 12-18 months. Dealers charging $12-30k over MSRP are the only ones with units on hand around here.

Wow, that's something. Hopefully, Toyota can catch up with demand over the next couple of months. I finally saw one driving around town for the first time and it looked sharp!
