My first Toyota

What’s up everyone, after 8 years and 4 months in a very reliable Jeep Grand Cherokee, I have made the switch to a 25 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro.

Why I made the switch

• reliability (hopefully)
• best rated fuel efficiency for a large size suv
• I’ve only seen 15-17 city and 20-21 highway (2 hr drive) in the 5 months of ownership so we shall see on the longer trips.
• it looks bad ass

My goals

• all my stuff has been cosmetic since I have the Toyota gold warranty, I bought it used.
• I’m in talks about getting a complete remote start added from Toyota that won’t void the warranty
• I took that dang cargo basket off so if your interested make me an offer.. I’m in NJ.
• really wanna see what Toyota can do under warranty.. a lift would be nice but the fuel efficiency is not really as advertised so I don’t know if I will.

Overall: glad to be in Toyota family and in this forum. Looking forward to chatting with you all.

Thanks.. all my other interior stuff is amazon finds to protect the center console, a phone holder and seat protectors for the kids. Still wanna do the 3rd row delete but I’m actually a fan of the tiered cargo system in the back.

I’d say for daily use it’s perfect for eggs haha.. they do need to make it atleast a little easier to take out the seats. The electric vans allow you to unclip and take out simple.

Also, Toyota does not have OEM remote start where the car does not turn off when opening the doors.

I think I read this is supposed to be an option on the 2027. I think it is super irritating on my Lexus and couldn't believe it was on my 2026 Sequoia. A software update to not shut off would be awesome.

What seat protector's did you find??? I have not found one to fit to cover the 2nd row buckets from our dogs yet.

Well that’s good to hear with 2027s, hopefully it’s true. My wife has a Lexus from I think 2022 and it’s the same ordeal but she has climate control in her app. So I just bought some cheap Amazon seat back protectors to keep the kids from kicking but I unfortunately don’t have any recommendations for the pups other then maybe cover kings try then. I have the red seats and I love them so trying to enjoy them rather than cover them up.

I have a 1794 with the tan leather so I would like to be able to slip on a cover to protect from dog nails and then take off when they are not in the truck. I tried a Kurgo bucket seat. Looked to be really well made but just wasn't big enough for our 2nd row bucket seat size. Kurgo's Charcoal Grey Extended Wander Bench Seat Cover works for the 3rd row.
