I Just Bought A 2002 Sequoia, with some issues

The person that sold it to me said it needs the SAIS what are some things i can do to make sure that really what it is.

the SAIS system isn’t on 2002 models it was firsrt used in 2005. Per chat gpt The 2002 Sequoia uses the non-VVT-i 4.7L 2UZ-FE. Its emissions equipment includes things such as EGR, EVAP, oxygen sensors, catalytic converters, etc., but it does not have the electrically driven secondary-air pump and associated air-switching valves found on the later system. The SAIS system apparently quick heats the catalytic converter.
So, basically drive, look, listen, and pull dash codes. Good luck. I hope it runs well for you.
