2027 Toyota Sequoia: What Features and Changes Do You Want to See?

With the 2027 model year announcement coming soon, what changes are you hoping Toyota brings to the 2027 Sequoia? Let’s hear your thoughts!

Personally, I would like to see the cargo area redesigned AND a split tailgate like on the older Land cruisers. Groceries fall out almost every time we open the trunk because of the raised load floor. Its a Major design flaw. Also, if they could increase the interior quality by just a little bit that would be great, I don't like that I spent 80K + on the vehicle and the door panel feels bouncy when I close the door.

I think that would be huge if Toyota could do that. The cargo area is the only thing that's kept me from buying one.

Honestly though. The sequoias ha e been selling in record numbers compared to other generations. I doubt toyota will do anything to fix the rear end. But we can hope.

Besides providing an option without the third row (I removed mine) ... I really dislike the way it locks / unlocks. For a long time I wondered ... why didn't it lock automatically when the FOB was in my hand, like my Mazdxa CRX did? I bet some of you can answer that question! Here's a hint: $$$. Very annoying. But also, why can't you unlock all the doors with the key FOB instead of having to press multiple times to get the back doors to open?

Lastly, the sway warning is absolutely stupid. It automatically comes on everytime you start the car, so you can't permanently disable it. You'll be driving for an hour or two and ... a strange, loud BEEP distracts you from the road (often dangerously so), asking if you want to take a break. Apparently this is because at some point the car concluded you've been swaying a lot? Not sure. But it will come on regardless of whether you actually DID take a break but didn't shut the vehicle off. When the screen splashes a steaming coffee cup icon, I find myself wondering, did Toyota determine that I haven't been drinking enough coffee? Or do I need a nap? Or what?

Plug in Hybrid??? My wife uses this mainly to drive two miles to work and back... My understanding is that it takes a bigger battery. Other than that I know nothing about what it would take to make it a plug in hybrid.

I would like to have more comfortable seating for longer trips.

Owner since Feb of this year this is what needs another look from Toyota in my opinion

• radio antenna is not very strong
• I agree with the above with locking and unlocking have to do it multiple times
• paying $15 a month to remote start my car just for it turn off when I open the door is awful
• I’ve had better luck with the tiered system in the back and I don’t mind it. BUT I wish they could make it to where you can simply unhook the 3rd row when not in use
• should come leveled a little more
