    Buzzing shifts

Can you post a video of the noise? Might be something as simple as a loose heat shield. Last year I grabbed a grease gun and went after every zerk fitting on my driveline which helped quiet things down.

    wheel speed sensors

The P0430 code on a Toyota Sequoia means "Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)." It indicates that the vehicle's onboard computer detects that the catalytic converter on Bank 2 (the side of the engine opposite the #1 cylinder) is operating below 95% efficiency. [1, 2, 3] I had a...

    Ideas for Gen 1 upgrades?

I just crawled under the truck and there is no filter down there. I checked the repair manual and one section talks about the filter being on the rail (like the video) but another section calls out the 05-07 models as having a filter incorporated into the fuel pump located inside the tank. I’ll...

    Ideas for Gen 1 upgrades?

I read the fuel filter in the 05 is tucked inside the tank next to the fuel pump. Is it different on the 01-04 models?

    Ideas for Gen 1 upgrades?

Triple check tire pressure and drive slower. You can also Google “hypermiling” and steal some of those ideas. Granted, don’t be that jerk doing 55 in the fast lane…just saying.

    Alternator mounting stud

No worries. When I get stuck, I end up calling the parts desk at the local dealership. Most of the time they can get me what I need.

    New here Hi

I’m partial to my First Gen. Specifically, the 05-07 model. Revised engine with VVTI, 5-speed tranny, and revised lower ball joint design. It’s got the 4.7L, which doesn’t do anything perfectly (stronger motors out there) but does everything pretty darn well. Check out FirstGenOffroad for ideas.

    Key won’t unlock doors

My 05 gives me that sound when a door is open and I try to lock it. Check the doors and hatch to see if something is ajar.

Anyone interest in the new Toyota Tundra TRD Hammer?

sounds like a great concept but I worry the engine issues will rain on Toyota’s rollout.

    2002 Limited 4wd - Back up Camera

I took the easy route and installed a wolf box (front and rear cameras) set up. That was an easier option for me as I also didn’t want to splice wires.
